The 2019 ISWC International Convention will be held in Buffalo, NY this year with the main show being held on Saturday June 22, 2019 from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm at the host hotel, the Buffalo Marriott Niagara.
Although, the show is scheduled for Saturday June 22nd, activities for both the avid car enthusiast and their family will be scheduled throughout the week.
Activities begin Tuesday, June 18th, with an early arrival dinner at Duff’s, one of the best places in Buffalo for wings. Starting Wednesday, there are several local museums and auto related tours being worked on for viewing.
Wednesday, June 19th will begin with a tour of the GM engine plant in Tonawanda then off to Henrietta for a tour of a private auto collection. While we are near Rochester in Henrietta, a tour of the Rochester Auto Museum might be included.
Thursday, June 20th begins with a visit to the Buffalo Transportation/Pierce Arrow Museum in downtown Buffalo. After lunch, it’s off to the Buffalo & Erie County Naval and Military Park, located a half mile away in the Canalside district. While in the Canalside waterfront park we will board an excursion boat for a guided tour of the Buffalo harbor and river.
Friday, June 21st will include our annual business meeting at 9:00 am. Then Friday is open for personal visits to any of a number of local attractions. Some places to consider visiting on Friday afternoon in the Buffalo area include the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site, and the Frank Lloyd Wright Martin House.
There are also several shopping areas in Buffalo. Including major malls like the Walden Galleria and the Boulevard Mall. For those who prefer to browse and shop in small stores there are the shop-lined streets of Hertel Avenue, Elmwood Village or East Aurora. For those who want to go outside of the Buffalo area, Niagara Falls NY is only a half hour drive away.
The Show and judging begin Saturday June 22nd at noon and run until 4:00 pm. The awards dinner will follow at 7:00 pm. at a local venue.
